I’m accredited as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and as a CBT therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). I have extensive experience working privately, for the NHS seeing clients who experience symptoms affecting their behaviour, thinking and emotions and I have 20 years of experience in providing relief. My training and experience include working with couples, groups and families during a crisis and supporting them to manage and overcome their difficulties.
In my private practise in Ashtead I offer diagnostic assessments and therapy to young people, adults and couples. I also provide clinical supervision to Psychologists and CBT therapists.
I work with a variety of presenting difficulties offering interventions as recommended by NICE guidelines and I will describe some of them below:
Anxiety: such as Panic disorder with agoraphobia, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety, Phobias (such as Emetophobia, dentist phobia, claustophobia) Performance Anxiety such as stage fright and Social Anxiety.
Depression: low self-esteem, self-harming behaviours, emotion dysregulation.
Post-traumatic stress disorder: following Childhood trauma (neglect, physical, emotional or sexual abuse), accidents, or following other traumas such as rape or accidents.
Eating disorders such as binge eating disorder.
Traumatic grief and complex bereavement reactions.
Relationship problems and issues within families and couples.
